The dredging of the North Spreader Canal in Cape Coral will begin on June 29!

Cape Coral has begun dredging in the North Spreader Canal. This project will continue for several months, and will be completed no later than mid-November. The city’s Public Works Department dredging crew will be working in the canal Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding holidays. The project area will extend from the 300 block of Old Burnt Store Road south to Pine Island Road. The last time this portion of the North Spreader Canal was dredged was in 2008. With more than 400 miles of canals, the city of Cape Coral maintains an active dredging program.
